Geography and Climate of New Zealand
New Zealand has some spectacular geography: beaches, mountains, rivers,
lakes, fiords, glaciers, in fact everything one could desire to experience
during a campervan holiday.
The Escape guide book will help you navigate the country. The guide book
was hand written by the staff at Escape. It has also been amended and
corrected by travellers.
Whilst our book is good we suggest you use a good guide book like Lonely
Planet or Rough guide to ensure you don’t miss anything.
One of the great things about New Zealand is that it is not too big and
can be travelled with ease. You can take you camper from the East to West
coast or vice versa with ease.
Climate
December, January and February are New Zealand's warmest months and therefore
the busiest months, we recommend travel in October and November or April
and May. Great weather and the camper prices are lower too.
The weather is generally good, with the long skinny nature of NZ meaning
storms pass across the islands quickly.
We look forward to seeing you in New Zealand
